Nueva peticion por el ITF para contrarrestar las maniobras en contra en la Comision Europea. El lobby financiero presiona con todo su poder a la Comisión y si los ciudadanos no nos seguimos moviendo cada vez más para presionar en favor de la ITF, un informe de impacto negativo de Comisión dejaría en situación muy difícil el ITF a pesar de la mayoritaria votación del pasado 8 de Marzo en el Parlamento Europeo.

Por favor, difundirlo al máximo entre todos vuestros contactos antes del 19 de Abril; los Europeos nos jugamos mucho en esto. El ITF - Impuesto a las Transacciones Financieras sería el primer paso serio hacia una eficaz regulación los mercados financieros que además aportaría una importante fuente de financiación a Europa. Junto con la supresión real de los Paraísos Fiscales permitiría poner a salvo los amenazados Estados del Bienestar, a todas luces insostenibles (como nos repiten "con la boca pequeña" a diario) si tenemos que aumentar nuestra productividad hasta ser competitivos en el mercado global con países cuyos trabajadores sufren las condiciones que tenían los Europeos hace un siglo. O cambiamos las reglas del juego o perderemos poco a poco todas las conquistas sociales y la clase trabajadora será de nuevo esclava del Poder Económico. Eso sí, los que tengan la suerte de trabajar serán dóciles y ávidos consumidores de una creciente oferta de bines y servicios que seguirá nublando los sentidos de gran parte de la población.

First of all, thank you very much for your support for the petition "Financial Transaction Tax Now!". Thanks to more than 500.000 E-Mails sent through the petition to Members of the European Parliament, we were able to build up enough pressure for a positive vote in the European Parliament.
BUT: The introduction of an EU-FTT is not reality, yet! The European Commission and the Member States have to agree to the proposal before the Financial Transaction Tax can enter into force in Europe.
UNFORTUNATELY the European Commission and the Lithuanian Commissioner for Taxation, Algirdas Semeta, are trying their best to block the EU-FTT. Shortly after the successful vote in the European Parliament, Semeta declared that he was not interested in the vote of the democratically elected Parliament. The introduction of an EU-FTT is a bad idea, so Semeta.
Therefore, we need your help once again to make clear to Semeta and the European Commission that the will of European citizens is more
